Moscow [Russia], June 5: The governor of Russia's Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, reported continued shelling, with debris from flying objects shot down by air defences
falling from the sky in some places.
VyacheslavGladkov wrote about the shelling on the Telegram news service on Sunday. Earlier, he had reported that two people had been killed on Saturday.
A total of 4,000 people from particularly affected areas are said to have been brought to safety.
Meanwhile, the paramilitary Russian Volunteer Corps, which fights on the side of the Ukrainians but is made up of Russian nationalists, published a video purporting to show its fighters in the border town of Shebekino.
The group also claimed to have taken Russian army soldiers as prisoners.
Russia, which launched a war against neighbouring Ukraine more than 15 months ago, has complained of increasing shelling of its own territory in recent weeks.,
