Munich [Germany], June 16: A tourist from the United States is in German police custody on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following an attack on two young women at the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria.The 30-year-old man was brought before a magistrate on Thursday, according to police.
The man, whose name was not released, is suspected of having lured two female tourists under a pretext down a trail to a viewpoint near a historic bridge popular among tourists for its view of the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle. He allegedly then physically attacked one of the women and pushed her into a ravine. She later died from her injuries.When the other woman attempted to intervene, the man choked her and also pushed her into the gorge, according to authorities. (DPA)
